Pedestrian struck, killed in Prince George’s Co. identified

WASHINGTON — Prince George’s County police have identified the pedestrian who was involved in a fatal crash in Capitol Heights Wednesday afternoon.

Jadene Brooking, 25, of Capitol Heights was hit by a car while crossing Central Avenue in a crosswalk, police said.

A driver traveling eastbound struck Brooking in the 6400 block of Central Avenue around 2:30 p.m.

The driver was not injured and stayed on the scene.

The scene of the crash is near the Addison Road Metro station.
