Woman dies in Capitol Heights homicide; suspect arrested

WASHINGTON — Police have arrested a suspect in connection to a woman’s death in Prince George’s County Wednesday.

The suspect is Olayinka Kowobari, 34, of Capitol Heights, who police say knew the victim. Kowobari and the victim, Jodi Henry, 35, of Fort Washington, got into a fight around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday in the suspect’s home in the 9400 block of Eugenia Park Street in Capitol Heights.

Kowobari stabbed the victim during the fight, police say.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where she died.

Police have called the death a homicide. Kowobari has been charged with first and second-degree murder, and is in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
