WASHINGTON — Amazon is now hiring seasonal customer service associates from several states who can work from home, and Virginia is on the list.

The position for the e-commerce giant is full-time for up to six months in their Virtual Contact Center, dealing with customers, especially during their “peak season,” which runs from Thanksgiving to mid-January. The pay rate is $10 per hour.

People who are interested in applying must live in Virginia, and since it’s telework, they should have a computer and reliable internet service. Other qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, some customer service experience and the ability to work shifts between 3 a.m. and midnight PST Sunday through Saturday.

Since it is seasonal, you need to be ready to work on the holidays. Read more about the position for Virginia residents.

Other states included in the position are Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
