Gov. Hogan declares state of emergency for part of Md.

WASHINGTON – Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan has declared a state of emergency for part of the state beginning Friday ahead of Tropical Storm Hermine’s arrival, including some counties in the WTOP listening area.

The state of emergency impacts Caroline, Cecil, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s, Somerset, Talbot, Wicomico, Worcester, Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s counties.

The commonwealth of Virginia is under a state of emergency too.
