Pedestrian hit by truck in Prince George’s Co.

WASHINGTON — A man was hit by a truck Wednesday just after 1 a.m. on Suitland Parkway at Naylor Road in Prince George’s County.

Sgt. Anna Rose, of the U.S. Park Police, initially said the man was in the crosswalk when he was hit and has been taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officials said around 8:30 a.m. that the man was walking across the street, and not through a crosswalk.

Rose said the investigation is ongoing.

The parkway was closed in both directions between Branch Avenue, in Prince George’s County, and Alabama Avenue Southeast, in the District, until about 5:30 a.m.
