WASHINGTON — A man was fatally stabbed near a D.C. hospital on Wednesday afternoon and police believe his adult son is responsible.

The unnamed man was stabbed about 3 p.m. in the 100 block of Michigan Avenue near Children’s National Medical Center, according to D.C. police.

Police said the man was unconscious and died after he was taken to the hospital.

Officers are looking for his son, who was seen carrying a green shirt in the area of the children’s hospital and the Veterans Affairs buildings on Michigan Avenue.
