19-year-old shot, killed in Northwest

WASHINGTON — A 19-year-old died in a shooting in D.C.’s Shaw neighborhood Wednesday night.

Around 10 p.m., a shooting happened in the 600 block of N Street in Northwest. When police arrived on the scene, there were two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds.

Emergency crews transported both victims to an area hospital where 19-year-old Derryk Johnson, a D.C. resident, died. The second victim, whose name has not been released, was admitted in stable condition, according to police.

D.C. police have not released information about a suspect or any arrests in the case.

D.C. police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to a conviction. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099.
