Annandale woman found pinned under vehicle, dies

ANNANDALE, Va. (AP) — Police say a 68-year-old Virginia woman died after she was found pinned under a vehicle in her driveway in Annandale.

Fairfax County Police said in a statement Thursday that the woman was found pinned under the vehicle on Wednesday afternoon. Officers and fire and rescue personnel were called. Police say the woman was pronounced dead a short time later.

Crash reconstruction unit detectives responded and police say their investigation found that the woman apparently slipped under the vehicle after accidentally placing it in gear.

A Virginia pet expo running through Sunday is hoping to help those who recently got new pets to find what they need. Eric Udler, producer of the Super Pet Expo at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, said that there has been a significant increase in pets being adopted with so many people working from home.
