Track work forces schedule changes for MARC, Amtrak

WASHINGTON — If you get to D.C. via MARC or Amtrak trains, you might be setting the alarm a bit earlier starting Monday. That’s because track work is forcing schedule changes.

On MARC’s Penn Line, southbound trains 403, 425 and 427 will leave Baltimore three to five minutes earlier than usual. Amtrak train 151 will depart its stops five minutes later than scheduled.

Most northbound MARC trains will leave Union Station from one to five minutes earlier than the schedule indicates.

Northbound Amtrak Acela trains will leave Union station five minutes before the hour, instead of on the hour.

Most northbound ‘Northeast Regional’ trains will leave Union Station three minutes before the time listed in the spring timetable.

It seats up to eight, can be equipped with almost every luxury touch and competes with SUVs costing thousands (or tens of thousands) more.
