TOMS releases shoe collection for election season

WASHINGTON — Buttons and T-shirts are fine, but there’s a different way you can add a political punch to your wardrobe.

Picture a pair of canvas sneakers covered in a parade of little red, white and blue Republican elephants or Democratic donkeys.

They’re part of TOMS Shoes’ Election Collection 2016.

If you’d like something dressier, there are blue suede shoes for men and strappy wedges for women.

The wedges come with tiny donkey and elephant charms. The removable charms can hang from the ankle strap of each shoe, so you can customize your look.

TOMS is also selling canvas tote bags covered with political prints.

Prices range from $39 for flip-flops to $119 for men’s brogues.

See the collection on TOMS’ website.
