Washington area sports delays/postponements

WASHINGTON — With the impending storm this weekend, many college and professional sporting events have been moved or rescheduled. We will continue to update this page as needed throughout the weekend. For any high school information, please see our general closings/delays page or call your school for more information.

 

Saturday:

• Wizards vs. Jazz at Verizon Center: Game postponed. A makeup date will be announced at a later time.

• Navy basketball vs. Army at Madison Square Garden. Postponed.

• George Mason vs. Duquesne (men’s basketball): Game originally scheduled for 4 p.m. will now begin at 2 p.m. Friday at RAC

• Maryland Athletics (all sports): All games/matches scheduled on campus this weekend have been postponed. 

• Howard vs. Florida A&M doubleheader (women’s/men’s basketball): Games rescheduled to Wed. Jan. 27 at 5 and 7 p.m.

• Virginia vs. Syracuse (men’s basketball): Game rescheduled to Sunday at 7 p.m.

Sunday:

• Penguins vs. Caps at Verizon Center: Game postponed. A makeup date will be announced at a later time.

• American vs. Holy Cross (men’s basketball): Game has been rescheduled for February 1 at 2 p.m

• The Va. Tech/North Carolina Men’s Basketball game for today, moved up from 6:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
