Motorcycle crash leaves Silver Spring man dead

BURTONSVILLE, Md. (AP) — A motorcyclist was killed in a wreck in Burtonsville on Sunday.

Montgomery County police said the motorcyclist, Joe Odeh Dababneh, 42 , of Silver Spring, was struck by a car in the 1300 block of Spencerville Road (Md. Rt. 198).

Dababneh later died at the hospital.

Police received a reports of the crash at around 3 p.m. Dababneh was traveling on his 2004 Yamaha YSF R6, riding east on Spencerville road, when he struck a Honda Civic between Good Hope Road and New Hampshire Avenue.

Police said the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
