Gaithersburg man dies in Damascus car crash

WASHINGTON — A 20-year-old Gaithersburg, Maryland, man is dead after a single-car crash in the Damascus, Maryland, area.

The Montgomery County Police Department says the man who died in the collision around 6:25 p.m. Tuesday is David Mark Harris.

Harris, driving a silver, 2002 Volkswagen Passat, struck a utility pole in the 5200 block of Damascus Road, police say.

He was the only one in the car.

Police continue to investigate.
