Suspect shot by off-duty officer at Union Station dies

WASHINGTON — A 25-year-old stabbing suspect who was shot by an off-duty police officer in November has died.

Police say Rashad Bugg-Bey, of Northeast, died Tuesday.

Bugg-Bey was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon after a Nov. 14 incident, when police say he attacked a woman at the Union Station Metro.

An off-duty Baltimore County police officer witnessed the incident, and shot and wounded Bugg-Bey. A Metro spokesman also said at the time that a female bystander was shot in the leg.

Police say an autopsy was performed following Bugg-Bey’s death, but the cause has not yet been determined.
