Arrest made in Landover shooting

WASHINGTON — A man was fatally shot Sunday evening in Landover, Maryland, and police say it does not appear to be random.

According to Prince George’s County police, officers were called to the 1000 block of Brightseat Road, near FedExField, around 5:30 p.m. There, police found Turrell Blake, 28, of Landover, who had been shot.

Blake was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A short time after the shooting, the police say, they arrested James Norris III, of Northeast D.C., and charged him with shooting Blake in what they characterized as an argument.
