Man fatally shot in Germantown

WASHINGTON — Police are investigating a homicide in Germantown, Maryland, after a man was shot Wednesday night. According to Montgomery County police, it happened around 7:15 p.m. in the 18600 block of Sage Way, near Cinnamon Drive. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man near a residence, who had apparently been shot. The victim was taken to a local trauma center, where he later died.

Anyone with information about the incident should call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070. The investigation is ongoing.
