Thieves with Champagne tastes aren’t stopped by beer budget

FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) — Two men with a taste for Champagne have repeatedly stolen shopping carts full of the bubbly and other wines from a Fairfax supermarket.

Police in Fairfax County are looking for two men, one of whom sports different fedoras in surveillance photos, who stole wine from Wegmans three times.

According to a news release from the department, the men went to the store on Oct. 14, Nov. 5 and Nov. 12, each time around 6 p.m.

Authorities say each time, the men went to the store’s wine section, loaded a shopping cart with bottles, and fled without paying.

A Virginia pet expo running through Sunday is hoping to help those who recently got new pets to find what they need. Eric Udler, producer of the Super Pet Expo at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, said that there has been a significant increase in pets being adopted with so many people working from home.
