Pedestrian dies after he’s struck in Germantown

WASHINGTON — Montgomery County police identified a man killed when he was struck by a car on Md. 355 in Germantown, Maryland Friday night.

Damien Anthony Denning, 47, was crossing in the 19600 block of Md. 355 when a Chevrolet Malibu driven by James Wesley Ford, 52, of Germantown struck him.

Fire and Rescue personnel were called to the scene just north of Scenery Drive at 6:11 p.m.

Police say Denning died of his injuries at Suburban Hospital.

Ford was taken to Holy Cross Germantown.

Police are asking anyone who saw what happened to contact them at 240-773-6620.
