Police: Two dead in murder-suicide at Capitol Hill home

WASHINGTON — A man and woman were found dead inside a home in the Capitol Hill area of D.C. on Monday in what police say was a murder-suicide.

According to D.C. police, John Robinson, 37, and Desiree Cooper, 36, were found around 3:45 p.m. at a home located on Tennessee Avenue Northeast, near Constitution Avenue Northeast. Both were found unresponsive, with gunshot wounds.

Cooper’s death was determined to be a homicide, while police say Robinson’s cause of death was determined to be a suicide.
