Alcohol a factor in Halloween crash in Glen Burnie that killed two, including teen

WASHINGTON — Two people are dead and several others injured after a driver crashed into two other cars in Glen Burnie, Maryland, Saturday night.

Anne Arundel County Police say the crash happened on Solley Road near Solley Elementary School around 10:30 p.m. Donna Thayer-Fitzgerald, 47, was driving southbound on Solley Road when police say she crossed the center line and hit a car coming northbound, head-on.  Then another car traveling northbound was also hit.  Thayer-Fitzgerald died on the scene.  Joshua Pack, 18, the driver of the second car, died on the scene as well.

Passengers from Thayer-Fitzgerald’s car and the first car that was hit were were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.   Passengers in the third car were treated for minor injuries.  Police say speed and alcohol are factors in the crash.
