Maryland body believed to be missing teen charged with home invasion

WASHINGTON — Charles County Sheriff’s Office believes a body found in Maryland woodland, could be that of missing teen Steven Coltman.

The body was found near the 18-year-old’s home in Indian Head Friday afternoon.

A gun was found nearby.

Coltman went missing from his house earlier this month, two days after he was charged with an attempted home invasion in White Plains.

Charles County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, Diane Richardson, says; “The cause of death has not been determined. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy and let us know the manner and cause of death. But it does not look like a foul play was involved.”

Another teen allegedly involved in the break-in was running for Congress.

Investigators are waiting for the results of an autopsy to confirm the identity of the body.
