WASHINGTON — A Howard University student was arrested Wednesday, after officials say he brought a gun to the university’s Health Center.

The incident happened around 4 p.m.

A spokesperson for Howard University says an employee discovered the gun during an exam, and notified authorities immediately.

At this time, there is no word on why the student had a gun. D.C. police say since the gun wasn’t used to commit a crime, the student is being charged with possession.
