WASHINGTON — Seven people were killed after a vintage fighter jet crashed into a busy road while attempting to perform a loop maneuver at a British air show, the BBC reports.

The crash happened just outside the grounds of  the Shoreham Airshow in Southern England, as thousands of spectators watched.

A few onlookers posted video of the crash on YouTube. The footage shows the plane soaring into the air, then sharply plummeting to downward, a fireball emerging from near trees, followed by thick plumes of smoke.

Fourteen people were injured, according to the BBC.
