D.C. restaurant week runs through Sunday

WASHINGTON — This is the week to try out a new place to eat, or revisit an old favorite: Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week runs through Sunday.

More than 200 restaurants in the DMV are taking part with special discounted menus — a three-course lunch for $22 and a three-course dinner for $35. You can find the list here.

And Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington is holding a contest in which those who make reservations through the Restaurant Week website can win a food-based trip to New York, a card that gives you Restaurant Week prices for a full year and more.

You can also reserve parking in advance — always one of the biggest headaches of a night out in the District.

And when you’ve had your fill of Restaurant Week, you can head to Alexandra: The city’s Restaurant Week starts Friday and runs through Aug. 30. That’s a flexible definition of “week,” but it’s hard to imagine any diners will complain.
