WASHINGTON — A woman, who appeared to have a knife, was shot in the chest by a police officer Saturday in Washington, D.C., NBC Washington reports. There was no word on her or the officer’s condition. According to Metropolitan Police, the shooting occurred in the 5300 block of Clay Terrace Northeast, which is near Division Avenue, just north of east Capitol Street.
