New apps will send info before you ask for it

WASHINGTON — Your smartphone could be psychic pretty soon.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple and Google are adding features that deliver information to users before they ask for it.

Apple has a so-called Proactive Assistant featured on its forthcoming iOS 9 software, which learns how users behave from the information stored on their iPhones. The company knows where you are, can access some emails, and uses that information to create calendar events.

Google Now pulls data from online services and searches, GMail, calendar and YouTube. Microsoft Corp. will introduce its own tracking software — “Cortana” — in devices running Windows software.

Some of the changes are expected this fall.

"Does @TuckerCarlson want to walk a mile in my legs and then tell me whether or not I love America?" Duckworth wrote on Twitter.
