Search ends for naked man on the run in South Riding

WASHINGTON — The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has ended its search for  a naked 31-year-old man in South Riding.

Police say the man was found  at a home near Nimbleton Square and has been taken to a hospital for treatment.

According to a release Saturday morning, Loudoun County deputies responded to the area of Nimbleton Square at around 6:30 a.m. on a report of an adult white male who was “acting erratically and was possibly under the influence of prescription medication.” The man ran from the area and was not wearing clothes.

Members of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team searched the area, with help from a Fairfax County Police Department helicopter, mid-morning.

According to police said Saturday that the man had not made any threatening statements and did not appear to be a threat, but they were concerned for his well-being.
