Man killed in motorcycle crash in Gaithersburg Saturday

WASHINGTON — A man was killed after his motorcycle struck an SUV in Gaithersburg on Saturday, Montgomery County police said.

The crash occurred at around 8 p.m. near Frederick Road and Christopher Avenue. A 35-year-old man, the motorcyclist, was riding south on Frederick Road when it struck an Acura MDX that was making a U-turn onto the south side of the roadway, police said.

The man, whom police did not identify, was taken to Suburban Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Police said the driver of the other vehicle, a 48-year-old woman, was not injured nor were the two other women passengers.
