Montgomery County school closed Tuesday due to fire

WASHINGTON — A Montgomery County school will be closed Tuesday due to a small fire in a conference room.

According to fire officials, county crews responded to the Connelly School of the Holy Child in Potomac on Monday night, where they found a fire in the conference room.

No one was injured in the incident.

Connelly School of the Holy Child is a Catholic college-preparatory school for girls in grades 6 through 12. While the school is closed for the day, students taking the AP Calculus exam will be allowed to take the test as scheduled and should report to the school at 7:45 a.m.
