Teen shot to death in Northwest D.C.

WASHINGTON — A teenager is dead in Northwest and the D.C. police department is calling it a homicide.

Shortly after 7 p.m. Friday, D.C. police officers were called to the 5700 block of Georgia Avenue in Northwest for a reported shooting.

Officers found Oxon Hill resident Anthony Davon Benson suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and died. He was 17.

There’s a reward of up to $25,000 being offered to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
