WASHINGTON — The World Happiness Report for 2015 is out and while the U.S. isn’t No. 1, it did make the top 10 percent.

This is the third World Happiness Report released by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network since 2012. Taking into account GDP, perceptions of corruption, health, freedom, social support and other key factors, the report ranks 158 countries.

According to the report, “The concepts of happiness and well-being are very likely to help guide progress towards sustainable development.”

The United States comes in at 15, making it one of the happiest countries. Switzerland takes the top spot. Syria, Burundi and Togo fall in the bottom three.
