Chief Justice Roberts reports for jury duty in Montgomery Co.

WASHINGTON — We’re all summoned to jury duty at some point. So imagine everyone’s surprise on Wednesday, when the chief justice of the United States showed up in Montgomery County as a potential juror.

According to the Washington Post, John G. Roberts Jr. arrived in Rockville and was being considered for a civil trial in a case involving a car crash.

Roberts Jr., who lives in Chevy Chase, answered questions in court about his relatives, and left without being selected.
