Girl slammed to the ground by Prince George’s Co. security guard

WASHINGTON — A Prince George’s County student violently taken down by a security guard is under investigation after being caught on video.

The girl, a student at Laurel High School, was not following orders after an altercation when she was picked up, slammed to the ground and then taken to the principal’s office.

Sherrie Johnson, a spokeswoman for the school system, says there’s more the incident then what’s in the video, but cannot be discussed due to confidentiality rules.

The issue has parents upset, NBC4 reports.
