Power slowly returning at Dulles International Airport

WASHINGTON — Electricity is slowly returning to Dulles International Airport in Virginia, but delays remain, according to information obtained by WTOP.

Most, if not all, power has returned to airport terminals C and D, but there are still struggles to keep that power running, reporter Ari Ashe told anchor Lori Lundin on Saturday.

The incident occurred shortly before 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Power was out in the ticketing level of main terminals A, B, C and D.

Officials worked with Dominion Power to determine the problem.

Flights are still arriving to the airport, and no flights have been diverted.

It’s unclear how many flight delays were related to this outage.

The outage lasted roughly two hours, 35 minutes.

WTOP’s Ari Ashe contributed to this report.
