Police break up after-party fight at Morgan State University

WASHINGTON — A fight on the campus of Morgan State University ended with no arrests and one person being pepper sprayed.

According to the Baltimore Sun, campus and Baltimore City Police broke up an incident after a party at the university early Saturday morning. The party, sponsored by the student government and Greek letter organizations, drew more than 1,000 people, the Sun reported. The fights occurred around 12:30 a.m. in separate areas.

A spokesman said one person complained of being pepper sprayed. Campus police said they hadn’t pepper sprayed anyone; they took pepper spray from several patrons at the event. Baltimore City Police didn’t pepper spray anyone, either, a spokesman told the Sun.

This was the first campus party in a year, when a similar incident shut down that event.
