WASHINGTON —  Maryland State Police say one person  is dead from a crash on Route 50 in Davidsonville, Maryland early Sunday morning.

Police tell WTOP a car hit a tractor trailer around 3 a.m. The collision which caused the car to catch on fire occurred near the Anne Arundel and Prince George’s County line.

Westbound lanes of Route 50  remain closed for the investigation.
