Man captures ‘frozen’ waves (Photos)

WASHINGTON — A photographer caught a memorable photo when waves on a Nantucket, Massachusetts beach nearly froze. Jonathan Nimerfroh, a photographer, says he was walking on the beach in Nantucket on Feb. 25 when he saw waves that looked more like slush coming it. That’s when he snapped a photo of waves semi-freezing as they crested. He described the water as a “slurpee surf” on his Instagram. The waves were semi-frozen because there was so much ice inside them, according to CBS Boston.
