Joe Biden’s ‘close talking’ during ceremony goes viral

WASHINGTON — Vice President Joe Biden was at the swearing-in ceremony for Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter on Tuesday, but it was his interaction with Carter’s wife that is lighting up the Internet. During the ceremony, Biden whispered into the ear of Carter’s wife, Stephanie and rubbed her shoulders.

The gesture is just the latest in what has earned Biden the reputation as the “world’s most powerful close talker,” The Washington Post reports.  While on the campaign trail for President Barack Obama in 2012, he cozied up to a biker chick in Ohio.

Also, at the swearing-in ceremony for Sen. Chris Coons, D-Del., Biden got a little too close for comfort for some with Coons’ 13-year-old daughter, Maggie. Coons spoke out following the encounter and said that his daughter was not crept out, The Washington Post reports.
