Water main break affects River Road traffic

WASHINGTON — Work on a broken 8-inch water main in the Bethesda, Maryland area is expected to wrap up before the end of Friday morning’s rush hours.

Utility crews are working on the main at River Road and Willard Avenue.

A gas main also has been compromised, and is being worked on.

Willard Avenue is closed between River Road and North Park Avenue.

A single lane of River Road gets by between Little Falls Parkway  and Western Avenue.
