Fifth body recovered from fatal mansion fire site

WASHINGTON – Searchers have located the remains of a fifth person from the ruins of an Annapolis mansion, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.

One person remains unaccounted for, and searchers and investigators returned to the site Saturday. They will again return Sunday to continue operations, and officials say they expect to need several more days at the site.

A fire destroyed the multimillion home on Childs Point Road Monday. Homeowners Sandra and Don Pyle and their four grandchildren are believed to have been inside the home.

The remains recovered so far have been sent to Baltimore for autopsy and identification. No names or causes of death have been released.
