Matthew McConaughey ad spoof features Metro (Video)

WASHINGTON — What would it look like if Matthew McConaughey brought his Lincoln-ad flare to the Metro?

A new parody video is answering the question and giving the Metro the McConaughey treatment in the latest spoof of the Academy Award-winning actor’s car ad.

“You don’t ride the Metro because it makes sense, you do it because you have to, or because Uber is on surge pricing,” a McConaughey-wannabe, portrayed by Matt Abedi, says.

As of Tuesday morning, the video, which shows a rambling “McConaughey” in the Metro and the D.C. area, has been viewed more than 5,000 times since its Dec. 19 posting.
