New Hampshire rolls past Albany 49-24

DURHAM, N.H. (AP) — R.J. Harris caught two touchdown passes and ran for another as New Hampshire beat Albany 49-24 on Saturday night.

Nico Steriti, who rushed for two touchdowns, scored on a 25-yard run on the game’s first possession, and UNH rolled to a 29-3 lead on Harris’ 21-yard run with 30 seconds left in the first half. In between, Harris caught his two touchdown passes. He finished with 10 catches for 108 yards. Andy Vailas was 18-of-24 passing for 188 yards.

The Wildcats (7-1, 5-0 Colonial Athletic) remain alone atop their conference after winning their seventh straight game and 11th in a row at home.

Albany’s Will Fiacchi was 21-of-40 passing for 215 yards, including three fourth-quarter touchdown passes after New Hampshire led 42-3. Two of those scores came after the Wildcats lost fumbles on consecutive kickoffs. Fiacchi was intercepted three times.

The Great Danes (6-3, 2-3) lost their first road game.
