Staff photographer Joanne S. Lawton has shot plenty of our region’s most notable buildings, from major office developments to lavish residences to historic landmarks to everything in between.

Sometimes, those buildings can fall into the category of eerie or spooky, especially when you know the stories that help fill out the images.

This Halloween, we asked Joanne to share some of her favorite eerie images from her more than two decades of capturing our region’s newsmakers and the places in which they’ve lived and worked.
