Grain mixed, livestock mostly higher

CHICAGO (AP) — Grain futures were mixed Friday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for Dec delivery was unchanged at $5.1775 a bushel; Dec corn was 3 cents higher at $3.56 a bushel; Dec oats were unchanged at $3.5175 a bushel; while Nov soybeans lost 2.50 cents to $9.75 a bushel.

Beef higher and pork was mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Dec live cattle was .70 cent higher at $1.6760 pound; Jan feeder cattle was .75 cent higher at 2.2965 a pound; Dec lean hogs lost .60 cent to $.8965 a pound.
