Lions WR Johnson inactive for game against Falcons

LONDON (AP) — Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson was inactive for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley Stadium.

Johnson, who aggravated his right ankle injury three weeks ago against Buffalo, has missed the last two Lions (5-2) games, both victories.

Lions running back Reggie Bush was also inactive, along with tackle LaAdrian Waddle and three tight ends, Joseph Fauria, Eric Ebron and Brandon Pettigrew.

For the Falcons (2-5), defensive end Jonathan Babineaux, cornerback Javier Arenas, wide receiver Freddie Martino and quarterback Sean Renfree were inactive.

The Lions and Falcons have byes next week, giving Johnson and the others two more weeks to heal before Detroit hosts Miami on Nov. 9 and Atlanta plays at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
