Frantic flurry helps Steelers salvage season

PITTSBURGH (AP) — The Pittsburgh Steelers temporarily righted their season with a 30-23 win over the Houston Texans on Monday night.

The Steelers scored three touchdowns during a 73-second stretch in the second quarter to turn a 10-point deficit into an 11-point lead.

The victory pushed Pittsburgh (4-3) back over .500. The Steelers have alternated wins and losses each week, a trend they hope stops on Sunday when they face streaking Indianapolis (5-2).

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger says he’s pleased with the way his team stayed patient after a slow start against the Texans but added there is plenty to work on as the season reaches the midway point.
