DALLAS (AP) — The Dallas family that hosted the Liberian man who died of Ebola has been released from isolation after spending three weeks at a Catholic retreat house.

After Thomas Eric Duncan’s Ebola diagnosis, Louise Troh, her 13-year-old son, Duncan’s nephew and a family friend were evacuated from Troh’s apartment, where Duncan had stayed before going to the hospital. Most of their belongings were incinerated.

Troh and her family belong to a Baptist church, but Dallas Bishop Kevin Farrell says when he was asked to provide them temporary quarters, he thought, “We’re all Christians. What would Jesus have done?” He adds, “We help people because we’re Catholics, not because they’re Catholics.”

Troh spent the early afternoon Monday looking for a new place to live with funds collected by the city of Dallas, her church and an anonymous donor.
