Alabama’s Allen, Shepherd injured in win

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Alabama right tackle Austin Shepherd and defensive end Jonathan Allen both left the game against No. 21 Texas A&M.

Coach Nick Saban said after the seventh-ranked Crimson Tide’s 59-0 victory that “everything’s OK.”

He says Shepherd had a sprained knee or ankle and could have returned after being helped off the field in the first half Saturday. He returned to the sideline wearing a protective boot on his left foot.

Saban says Allen suffered from cramps. The lineman left the game in the third quarter and was taken to the locker room on a cart.

Allen had two tackles, including a sack.
