A remembrance was held Saturday for Edgar Allen Poe, who died 165 years ago this month, by his gravesite at the former Westminster Presbyterian Church in Baltimore, now called the Westminster Hall and Burial Ground.

Men dressed in 1800s clothing read portions of “The Tell-Tale Heart,” “Annabel Lee,” “Alone” and “Eldorado.”

They also read letters that Poe had written to those he loved, the printed announcement of his death, and the letters of those who fondly remembered him.

It’s an annual tradition, and their way of remembering the literary master, evermore.
