Virginia man gets 14 years for heroin trafficking

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — The leader of a heroin trafficking operation in Portsmouth has been sentenced to 14 years and two months in federal prison.

Prosecutors say 39-year-old Shawn Butler of Portsmouth was sentenced Monday in federal court in Norfolk.

Butler pleaded guilty in May to conspiracy to distribute 100 grams or more of heroin.
